WHO MAY SELL

Only vendors of the White Bison Market or their designated seller may sell.  New vendors are accepted at the discretion of the White Bison Market Vendor Committee. Prior season vendors in good standing are exempt from the application process (if their product line has not changed) and will be accepted as current season vendors.  Good standing is defined as a vendor who actively participates in the market, has paid membership fees by the due date, and abides by market rules and regulations.  Vendors who did not participate in the prior year’s market must reapply and go through the membership process.

WHAT MAY BE SOLD
Unprocessed vegetables, fruits, nuts, herbs, cut flowers, bedding plants, eggs, and potted plants are grown within Oklahoma only.   Market Manager has the right to approve/disapprove of items to be sold. 

Processed foods such as honey, salsa, pickles, jellies, jams, meats, cured meats, cheese, baked goods, etc. may also be sold provided:  

1) Must be food, garden-related, or Homesteading items, and/or crafts handmade by the White Bison Market vendor. 

2) All applicable State Health Department and State Agriculture Department rules and regulations are met.

3) Homestead-related items such as books, tools, cookware, clothing, education etc.

HOW PRODUCE MAY BE SOLD
A. Produce may be sold by volume, count or weight.
B.  Each seller may establish their own prices.
C.  Sellers should provide containers for consumers unless consumers provide their own.
D.  Each vendor must post a sign in a conspicuous manner identifying the vendor by name.
E.  Vendors shall sell from assigned spaces. Space assignment for vendors will be assigned by the Market Manager.
F.  All outdoor vendors must have a tent/awning in which they sell their goods.
G. Vendors must use weights or tie-downs for each tent.
H. 100% of the fresh produce sold at the market must be grown or raised in Oklahoma.

EXCHANGES AND REFUNDS
Exchanges and/or refunds are at the discretion of the seller.

TAX COLLECTIONS
All sellers are required to have a current Oklahoma Sales Tax Permit and to collect and pay sales tax according to Oklahoma State Tax laws. If you are not required to collect sales tax then you will not be required to have a tax permit.

CONDUCT
All sellers will conduct themselves so as not to offend any customers or vendors of the Market.  Among prohibited behaviors are profanity, name-calling, harassing, fighting, and arguing.  If there is any of this you will immediately be asked to leave regardless of fault.  If asked to leave the premises whether voluntarily or by a White Bison Market representative there is no refund of booth space rental.   

SANITATION AND HEALTH REQUIREMENTS
A.  Any produce item must be sold whole (no halves or slices).  Sellers may display (but not sell) cut portions wrapped in cellophane.  Items may be cut after purchase by the consumer if the seller wishes to guarantee satisfaction in this way.
B.  Each seller will maintain their sales area and vehicles used in marketing in a neat, sanitary, and safe condition throughout the day.  Each seller will clean their area before leaving for the day.  Refuse shall be removed by vendor.  It shall not be placed in containers onsite.
C. All produce must be kept on vehicle, table, or booth.
D.  It is the seller’s sole responsibility to insure that all pesticides used on products offered for sale at the Market have been applied according to label directions.

SCHEDULE
A.  The outdoor market will operate year round on Saturdays between 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

B.  Sellers are asked to set up approximately 45 minutes before opening time.

C.  Sellers shall sell only on dates and times set by White Bison Market. 

D.  Each vendor shall pay a White Bison Market $20 per occupied 10' x 10' space per weekend.  Inside market is $40 per occupied space per weekend. Market fees shall be paid in Cash or Check (made out to White Bison Market and given to the Market Manager).  Payments must be made the week before your market date.

E. No mandatory participation; vendors pay on a week-to-week basis, one week in advance. Vendors pay only for the weekends they wish to attend. 

REPRESENTATION

A.  White Bison Market shall immediately report any incidents (property damage, personal injury) to Law Enforcement or Enforcing County Authority.

B.  All sellers agree to accept and abide by all laws and regulations.

COMPLAINTS AND DISAGREEMENTS
Signed complaints must be submitted to the Market Manager in writing—your contact information must be included in your letter (name, address, phone number, e-mail address).  Please mail your letter via United States Post within one week of the issue.  A submission to the Market Manager does not guarantee a reply.
